DASH Diet Helps Lower Blood Pressure In Teens
According to the results of a new study, teens who have high blood pressure can lead healthier lives by following a teen version of the DASH diet.

The DASH diet, or the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension diet is a diet which is high in fruits, vegetables, fiber, minerals, and low-fat dairy products.

It is also low in saturated fat and salt.

The American Heart Associatioin has stated that the diet can help teens lower blood pressure.

The study was carried out with boys and girls aged 11 to 18-years old. They found that those who followed a DASH diet were able to lead healthier lives.

They were able to decrease high fat and high salt foods, increase intake of potassium, magnesium, as well as fuits and vegetables.

The study involved 57 boys and girls with high blood pressure. They found that 50% of the teens who followed the DASH diet had normal blood pressure in a short period of time.

This number increased to 61% after just 6 months. This was higher than a group who had a normal diet.
